ONE-DAY CARNIVAL
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This amount of money will be spent on a large scale event, such as a carnival, complete with rides, attractions, games, and food, to be determined and voted on by the student
body. We understand the desire on campus for an event that would bring all groups of people outside during a favorable time of year, where Brandeis can
relax and enjoy each other and an event simultaneously. Thus, rather than bring in a comedian or additional musical artist, we propose to create an enjoyable
environment for all tastes, voted on by the campus as a whole.
1. Why do you thin your proposal
will benefit the student body at large?
The student body is busy, self-involved, and overall apathetic about events unless they feel personally
invested. By indicating a direct involvement through voting on a theme, event,
etc., students will feel they have a say in what is happening on campus. Thus,
they will be more motivated to participate, and will enjoy the event to the
fullest extent. Additionally, there has been an overwhelming request for more
large-scale, outdoor events, and with this additionally funding, Student events
can make that happen.
2. Why and how do you think your
proposal will benefit in short and long term?
There will technically be no
long term benefit, other than the reputation the event has and the ability to
make it a recurring one. In the short term, however, Brandeis can really come
together as a student body and enjoy a beautiful, fun day together, as a
unified campus. This will only help start the year off right and set a high note
for the events to come.
3. Whom have you consulted for the proposal?
Party Vision, Party People,
and Party Needs are all well-respected companies Student Events has fantastic
relationships with.
4. Please list any peoplep we
can contact as references in regards to your proposal.
Ilyssa Adler, Lauren Barish
5. Any further explanations if necessary.
